The District will also conduct a mandatory pre-bid jobsite inspection tour to familiarize prospective bidders with the project site and conditions. Bidders/bid walk attendees (Attendees) shall assemble at PS H (4399 Oakport Street, Oakland, CA 94601). This is the only time that PS H will be open for inspection. Pre-bid jobsite tours will be held in 1.5-hour sessions. Prospective bidders only need to attend one of the jobsite tours. Jobsite tours are available at the following times:
a.        Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
b.        Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Prospective bidders interested in attending the mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting and jobsite tour shall email Dimitri Araica (dimitri.araica@ebmud.com) with the names of attendees and their respective email addresses no later than Monday, September 30, 2024 with the following information:
a.        Attendee names, emails, and phone numbers
b.        Company/contractor name
c.        Indicate if interested in prime contractor or subcontractor
d.        Preferred jobsite tour time

Attendees shall comply with the Alameda County health orders. Face coverings will be required at a facility is if there is a declared Cal-OSHA Outbreak at the project site (applicable signs indicating as such will be posted). Attendees shall also cover their coughs/sneezes, practice hand washing, and shall not engage in physical contact. Attendees who disregard these health and safety requirements, as well as attendees who feel sick and/or have a cough or fever will not be allowed to attend.

No photography by the Attendees will be allowed. The District will take photographs, as requested by the Attendees, restricted to the work zone. The District will release photographs to Attendees after the bid walk, pending review by the District. All Attendees are required to have a photo ID and sign a confidentiality agreement not to share, sell, or publish photos.

Description: Work includes replacement of existing equipment and modification of existing infrastructure, including: replacement of main sewage pumps (furnish and install two pumps and furnish one spare), cone valve, effluent gate valve, flow meter, sluice gates, and air compressors; design, testing, installation, and operation of a temporary pump station bypass system; hot tap connection to the existing force main including cathodic protection, excavation, shoring, dewatering, underpinning, backfill, and pavement restoration work; security camera installation; mortar lining and protective coatings work on the discharge header and influent channels; hydraulic oil actuator system and crane rehabilitation; roof handrail installation; piping modifications throughout the building; miscellaneous coating work; associated structural, piping, electrical, and instrumentation work; and all other work as shown in the Contract Documents.
