Procurement of Milwaukee Outdoor Power Equipment and Accessories

The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA), the Awarding Authority, is seeking written quotes from qualified and authorized Milwaukee Tool distributors to provide outdoor power equipment, battery systems, chargers, and tracking devices. This procurement will support grounds maintenance operations across multiple CHA sites and ensure compliance with the City of Cambridge’s new ordinance prohibiting the use of gas-powered leaf blowers. The not-to-exceed cost for this project will be $100,000.00. This contract is being procured in accordance with MGL Chapter 30B and will be awarded to the responsible vendor offering the equipment needed at the lowest price.

By transitioning to Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL™ battery-powered outdoor equipment, CHA will eliminate reliance on gas-powered blowers, reduce environmental impact, and maintain year-round readiness within the ordinance’s permitted operating windows. The selected vendor will be responsible for supplying the specified equipment, providing applicable warranties, and assisting with configuration of the Milwaukee ONE-KEY™ Bluetooth Tracking Tag system for inventory control and asset management.

Bid forms and contract documents will be available at www.procore.com beginning Wednesday, November 26, 2025, after 10:00 AM (may be downloaded and viewed electronically). Contractors requesting the bid specification for this project can find it on Procore or e-mail their request to 2025allmilwaukeeoutdoorproject@cambridge-housing.org . There is no charge for the bid documents. Please include the company name, address, telephone number, and contact person in the request.

THIS PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE AWARDING AUTHORITY.  Bids must be electronically submitted at www.procore.com .  Additional instructions to complete the other bid forms are accessible on the Procore website.  If you need to contact the Cambridge Housing Authority on any other bidding issues, please contact 2025allmilwaukeeoutdoorproject@cambridge-housing.org .

Deadline for General Bidder questions will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, by 2:00PM. Questions received after the above deadlines may not be considered by the Awarding Authority. No interpretations of the meaning of the specifications, or other pre-bid documents shall be made to any bidder orally.  Every request for such interpretation must be in writing to: 2025allmilwaukeeoutdoorproject@cambridge-housing.org .

All written quotes can be submitted electronically online at www.procore.com no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, by 2:00 pm. Bids received after the above date and time may not be considered.
