MAINE TURNPIKE AUTHORITYNOTICE TO CONTRACTORSSealed Proposals will be received by the Maine Turnpike Authority for:CONTRACT 2026.19RAMP IMPROVEMENTSBIDDEFORD EXIT 32MM 31.6at the office of the Maine Turnpike Authority, 2360 Congress Street, Portland, ME, until 10:00 a.m.,prevailing time as determined by the Authority on May 19, 2026 at which time and place theProposals will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be accepted from Contractors prequalifiedby the Maine Department of Transportation for Highway Construction Projects. In addition,Contractors submitting bids must be themselves or utilize an electrical subcontractor prequalifiedby the Maine Department of Transportation for Traffic Signals and Lighting Projects. All other bidsmay be rejected. This Project includes a wage determination developed by the State of MaineDepartment of Labor. We now accept electronic bids for bid packages posted on the Bid Expresswebsite. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Until further notice,dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.The work consists of modifications to the Exit 32 Interchange southbound off-ramp at MM31.6 in the Town of Biddeford, Maine. The work includes milling, earthwork, pavement, signing,guardrail, drainage, electrical work, and maintenance of traffic and all other work incidental theretoin accordance with the Plans and Specifications.The half size Plans and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Authority uponpayment of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each set, which payment will not be returned.Checks shall be made payable to: Maine Turnpike Authority. Bidders shall not contact anyother Authority staff or Consultants for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Authority willnot be responsible for any interpretations so obtained.All work shall be governed by the Specifications entitled "State of Maine, Department ofTransportation, Standard Specifications, Revision of November 2014”, “Standard Details,Revision of March 2020” and “Best Management Practices for Erosion and Sediment Control”,latest issue.
