Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR QUOTES THE CITY OF STARKVILLE, MISSISSIPPI Notice is hereby given that the City of Starkville, Mississippi, will receive SEALED QUOTES for Janitorial Services for City Buildings located at 110 West Main Street and 506 DL Connor Dr. Separate quotes for City Hall and the Sanitation Department will be received at the City Clerk’s Office, 110 West Main Street, City Hall, Starkville, Mississippi, 39759, until 10:00 a.m. local time on June 22, 2026 at which time they will be opened publicly, read aloud, and taken under advisement until the next Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. Questions regarding the specifications should be directed to Joanna McLaurin, City Clerk, (662)323-2525 ext. 3106 or Webb Corban, CFO, 662-323-2525 ext. 3118 for City Hall and Chris Smiley, Sanitation Director, 662-323-2652.  Specifications may be obtained from the City’s web site, www.cityofstarkville.org, locate the subtitle Quick Links, and select Advertisement for Bids. The separate quotes must be SEALED and marked JANITORIAL QUOTES, due June 22, 2026 at 10 a.m.  Additionally, the bidder’s name and return address must appear on the outside of the package. No bid shall be withdrawn after the scheduled date and time of the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Starkville.   Within the limitations of state law, the City of Starkville reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City. SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE STARKVILLE

JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT

1. The Starkville City Hall, located at 110 West Main Street, is to be cleaned a minimum of three times a week

or as directed by the City of Starkville Mayor and Board of Aldermen or their designee. A tour of the facilities

may be scheduled by contacting Joanna McLaurin at j.mclaurin@cityofstarkville.org or 662-323-2525

ext.3106 or Webb Corban at w.corban@cityofstarkville.org or 662-323-2525 ext. 3118.

2. The Sanitation Department, located 506 DL Connor Dr, is to be cleaned a minimum of two or three times a

week or as directed by the City of Starkville Mayor and Board of Aldermen or their designee. A tour of the

facilities may be scheduled by contacting Chris Smiley, at c.smiley@cityofstarkville.org or 662-323-2652.

3. The successful bidder will supply all equipment, manpower, and other items necessary to render satisfactory

service other than paper goods and basic cleaning supplies.

4. The successful bidder must note any variations from, or exceptions to the conditions and specifications of the

bid as well as submit a summary of services.

5. The contract is a two year contract. The City reserves the right to extend the agreement through the third

year.

6. A thirty (30) day notice is requested of either party if the agreement is to be severed before the contract

period ends.

7. The successful bidder will indemnify and hold harmless the City from any and all liability with respect to

damages or injury resulting from the action of the company or its employees.
