Bid Title: Sludge Thickening System for Cochran Road Treatment Plant
Category: Consultant/Professional Status: Open Description: The City of Clemson is requesting sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide professional consulting, design, and turnkey construction services for the integration of a high-performance sludge thickening system at the Cochran Road Treatment Plant. The purpose of this RFP is to select the most qualified consultant, or consultant team, to assist the City's Utilities and Engineering Divisions with the development, permitting, and installation of a "Plug & Play" sludge thickening solution that best fits current wastewater infrastructure. The selected consultant is expected to follow industry leading guidelines and best practices in development of this document, but also must consider the unique local context of the Cochran Road Waste Water Treatment plant to develop an effective and ef?cient sludge thickening solution. Innovative solutions that can enhance the ef?ciency, sustainability, and overall effectiveness of municipal designs are encouraged, but practicality, constructability, and cost must always remain a priority. The selected consultant shall maintain a close collaboration with the City to ensure the recommended guidelines of the project document align effectivity with existing City requirements and/or provide suggestions for updates to streamline existing processes.
