Town of Waynesville is seeking quotes for the restoration of a stormwater pipe and the parking lot at Fire Station II-Finance Office

The Town of Waynesville is seeking quotes for the restoration of a stormwater pipe and the parking lot at Fire Station II-Finance Office (located at 280 Georgia Ave. Waynesville NC 28786). The project involves rehabilitating a 200-foot in length and 6-foot in diameter corrugated metal pipe using CIPP or spray-in-place lining, restoring drainage functionality, and reconstructing the adjacent parking area to accommodate emergency vehicle loading. The scope of work is as follows:

• Bypass Pumping/Diversion
• Pipe Lining (CIPP or spray-in-place)
• Excavation (200’ x 25’ x 8’, approx. 1,482 CY)
• Pipe Joint Repair
• Backfill with crushed stone in compacted lifts
• Asphalt Pavement Installation: 10” of 357 stone, 6” of crusher run stone compacted prior to installation of base asphalt (5” Type I19.0C) and Surface (3” Type S9.5B)

• Parking lot restoration includes a surface coat across the entire parking lot, line striping for parking spaces per Town standards.

Pavement Specifications:

All asphalt placement must follow NCDOT Section 610 standards, ensuring proper compaction (≥92%), use of correct mix types, and structural capacity to support fire apparatus (H-20/HS-20 loadings). Quality control documentation and finishing must meet Town expectations.
