CALL FOR BIDS

Electronic bids via BidVault will be received until 11:00 A.M., February 12, 2026, by the Board of

Commissioners, Chippewa County, Minnesota, at the office of Michelle May, County Auditor/Treasurer,

Courthouse, Suite 2, 629 North 11th Street, Montevideo, MN 56265 for the purpose of awarding a

contract for the construction project listed below. Bids will be opened and reviewed immediately after the

hour set for receiving bids. Read carefully the Wage Scales as they affect this project.

Minimum wage rates to be paid by the contractor(s) have been predetermined and are subject to the Work

Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581. Those, which apply to this project, are set forth in the proposal for this

project:

SAP 012-599-105: Replace 122”x77”x66’ precast concrete pipe arch bridge (old bridge L9354) with a

single line of 10’x7’ precast concrete box culvert (new bridge 12J80)

SAP 012-599-109: Replace 138”x87”x65’ precast concrete pipe arch bridge (old bridge 9268) with a

single line of 10’x7’ precast concrete box culvert (new bridge 12J79)

Approximate major items of work include: removal of 2 bridges, removal pipe culverts, 137 feet of 10x7

precast concrete box culvert, 4 each of 10x7 precast concrete box culvert end sections, 695 feet of CS

pipe culvert, 70 feet 12” pe pipe drain (smooth), 553 tons of Class III Rip Rap, 202 tons of aggregate base

class 5 modified, erosion control, revegetation, and traffic control.

Plans and Proposals may be inspected at the office of the Chippewa County Highway Engineer, 902

North 17th Street, Montevideo, MN 56265.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond made payable to Chippewa County in

a sum not less than 5% of the bid. See Proposal for acceptable forms of a bid bond.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to wave any informalities therein and to accept

the bid deemed most advantageous to the County.
