Exterior Updates to SMTD Offices
Springfield Mass Transit District dba Sangamon Mass Transit District (the “District”) is requesting quotes from qualified companies capable of repointing and painting the administrative and maintenance offices located at 928 S 9th St, Springfield, IL. The award of a firm, fixed-price contract shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Respondent. All official correspondence regarding this project shall be transmitted to and from the District’s Grants and Procurement Manager, Hadley Markiewicz, in writing to purchasing@smtd.org.

SCOPE OF WORK AND DRAWINGSThe Contractor shall complete the following in accordance with all local, state, and federalregulations and requirements.1.0 Preparation of Site1.1 Pressure washing of all exterior surfaces to remove dirt, mildew, and loose paint1.2 Scraping, sanding, or other means of removing peeling or flaking paint1.3 Caulking of cracks and gaps as needed1.4 Vehicles, landscaping, walkways, and surrounding surfaces shall be protected fromstains, blemishes, or damage. Any damage shall be repaired or replaced by theContractor at no additional cost.2.0 Repointing2.1 Rake out and repoint all joints as indicated in the attached drawings.2.2 All masonry-related debris shall be properly disposed of prior to final acceptance.3.0 Painting3.1 Application methods shall be limited to techniques that produce a uniform, smooth,and thoroughly covered surface.3.2 All surfaces shall be primed with the appropriate Sherwin-Williams primer asrequired by substrate and condition.3.3 The product used to paint the exterior shall be Sherwin-Williams Duration ExteriorAcrylic Latex in SW7065 Argos.3.4 All painting-related debris shall be properly disposed of prior to final acceptance.4.0 Warranty4.1 Contractor warrants the services will be free from defects in material andworkmanship for a period of one year.4.2 The warranty period begins once the District certifies final acceptance.5.0 InsuranceCOVERAGE TYPEWorker's CompensationEmployer's LiabilityAuto LiabilityGeneral LiabilityExcess/Umbrella LiabilityLIMITSStatutory Limits For Each Respective State$1,000,000 Each Accident$1,000,000 Policy Limit$1,000,000 Each Person$1,000,000 Combined Single Limit$1,000,000 Per Occurrence$2,000,000 Aggregate$2,000,000 Completed Operations$5,000,000 Per Occurrence$5,000,000 AggregatePage 2 of 16Liability limits can be satisfied with a combination of underlying and/or excess or umbrellacoverage.
