INVITATION FOR BIDS

NSMJAWA will receive electronic bids for the 2026 CATHODIC PROTECTION REHABILITATION PROJECT until 10:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2026.

NO paper copies will be provided by Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency (NSMJAWA) or the Engineer, Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co., Inc.

NSMJAWA will receive online electronic bids for the 2026 CATHODIC PROTECTION REHABILITATION PROJECT. The contract provides for anode bed rehabilitation along an existing transmission main at up to 44 locations. Work includes replacing anode beds, test stations, and wire as necessary at each site. And any appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project inclusive of all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to ensure a successful project. The contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the public, NSMJAWA staff, Engineer, and the contractor’s employees is the TOP PRIORITY. The Projects will be constructed in a logical process by the contractor with approval from Engineer and NSMJAWA.

There will be a non-mandatory On-Site Pre-Bid Meeting at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 23, 2026 , at the NSMJAWA Streamwood Booster Pumping Station located at 1101 E Schaumburg Rd, Streamwood, IL 60107. Potential bidders’ attendance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through www.questCDN.com. Bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button. NSMJAWA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. NO paper bids will be accepted.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance bonds, certificates and insurance certificates as required by the Contract. NSMJAWA has determined that this work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12) and the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act.
