Project DescriptionThis project will replace the roof at Ohio University's Central Food Facilities building (CFF) located at 120 S. Shafer Streetin Athens, Ohio. The CFF is a high-volume, USDA-inspected, food production facility that supports all University-operatedfood service venues across its main campus, including dining halls, marketplaces, cafes and more. The building wasconstructed in 1972. The original roof was replaced in 1991 (EPDM). Subsequent renovations expanded the buildingadding roof sections in 2009 (believed to be PVC) and 2010 (believed to be TPO). In total, this project aims to replaceapproximately 55,665 sf of roofing and make associated improvements to help ensure safe working conditions, foodsafety, regulatory compliance and reliable and consistent operations that drive the University's food service supply chain.B. Scope of ServicesFor projects advertised with an appropriately developed Program of Requirements (POR), upon award of the Agreement,commence with Design. For projects without such a POR, upon award of the Agreement, commence by developing theProgram of Requirements.The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss andclarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailedcost components to address the Owner’s project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity(EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement.As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: ProgramVerification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support,Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services requiredfor each.
