Village of Glencoe Compensation and Classification Study, RFP 26-005
Answers to Questions (02/23/2026)
1. How many employees will be involved in this study?
There are 68 full-time non-union employees that will be included as a part of this study. The
study should consider the Village’s collective bargaining agreements, however the
employees within those agreements will not be included as part of the study. There are a
number of seasonal golf employees will be included as a part of this study, however, this
number is flexible based upon need of the department and seasonality.
2. How many distinct job titles are represented by the above numbered employees?
There are 50 unique job titles represented.
3. Is the Village accepting of all work/meetings/presentations being conducted
virtually? If not, how many onsite visits should the consultant plan for?
We will request a minimum of two on-site meetings. The remainer of all regular meetings
may be conducted virtually.
4. For the “Prepare and Present the Classification Study” portion – are you referring to
providing FLSA exempt/non-exempt classifications for your roles? Or are you more
concerned with reviewing job architecture/framework?
While FLSA exempt/non-exempt classification review is a part of this study and should be
included, we are also concerned with grouping job roles with similar responsibility together
(ie, supervising employees, decision making, education requirements, developing policy,
etc.) in order to build a classification structure for the compensation piece of this study.
5. Are there any aspects of the Scope of Services that are deal breakers? For example,
we would not be able to support the Benefits Study Addendum or the Merit and
Bonus Recommendation Policy Addendum.
These are add-on portions of the RFP and will be dependent upon funding.
6. What is your preferred method of executing a Non-Disclosure Agreement? We
would need a signed agreement in place to furnish our confidential methodology, as
well as any other proprietary information.
A non-disclosure agreement will need to be reviewed by the Village attorney and
modifications may be requested at that time.
