Summary

The City of Sierra Vista is requesting bids from qualified Contractors for Sierra Vista Municipal Airport Apron and Taxilane Reconstruction & Taxilane Rehabilitation Project - FAA Funded AI047 , 2025-IFB-035-AI047 to be received no later than Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 10:00 am . All bids received after bid response deadline will not be accepted.

Phase 1 includes the area of the apron and taxilane located directly east of the main terminal
building.
♦ Demolition
♦ Full Depth Pavement Reconstruction
Phase 2 includes the Taxilanes between the box hangars along the main apron.
♦ Includes a crack seal and seal coat application

Background

The pavement in this area was constructed in 1999 and consists of 2 inches of asphalt over 8
inches of aggregate base course. In 2006, the pavement received a PFC overlay and a seal coat in
2015. This area is showing signs of longitudinal and transverse cracking and raveling. In 2024, the
estimated pavement condition index (PCI) is estimated to be 63 for this portion of the apron.
