The Department of Transportation intends to rent a John Deere E-Power tractor capable of operating our current fleet of mowing and snow removal of attachments to see how a fully electric tractor might fit into our current fleet of diesel powered tractors.

The Department of Transportation believes this is a single source purchase because this E-Power Tractor is not a full production tractor and can only be rented from John Deere CO.
