WORK PROGRESS AND CONTRACT PERFORMANCEa.The Contractor agrees to employ only qualified employees andoperators who are skilled in the performance of janitorial work. Allemployees and operators must be able to speak and understandBasic English. Children are not allowed to accompany parentswhile parents are cleaning the premises. Only service employeesare authorized to be on the premises for work related duties.Failure to provide experienced and qualified employees acceptableto the State will be cause for immediate termination of thecontract.b.Before starting work, the Contractor shall contact the COR todiscuss the contract terms, work performance requirements, and amutually agreeable work schedule.2. INDUSTRY STANDARDSAll services shall be provided in strict compliance with this contract usingthe most appropriate industry standards and equipment. The Contractorshall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and incidentalsnecessary to perform Janitorial Service needed throughout each facilityincluding break areas, coffee bars, vending areas, common areas,conference rooms and restrooms. Supplies shall be of good commercialquality, acceptable in the janitorial profession and subject to Stateapproval.3. ACCESSThe contractor and employees are responsible for insuring all keys/entrycards are handled properly; locking all doors and removing keys (ifapplicable) to prevent any unauthorized person(s) from entering thebuilding. The contractor shall not for any period of time leave anentry/exit door propped, unattended or left open for any reason.The contractor will be required to pay for re-keying the locks if any of thekeys/access cards are lost by the contractor or their employees.Employees no longer working with your company to clean these facilities,all keys/entry cards in their possession must be turned in to Teresa Bentzat the Payette Lakes Area Office during normal office hours.4. SMOKINGSmoking shall not be permitted in any State building except in a designedsmoking area.RFQ 26-8500Page 4 of 23JANITORIAL SERVICES - PAYETTE5. DAMAGE/EMERGENCIESThe Contractor shall report any building damage or potential hazardimmediately to Contract Officer Representative Teresa Bentz by telephone208-634-7125 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.After normal business hours, emergencies shall be directed to areamanager, Scott Corkill. For life-threatening emergencies, calls shall bedirected to 911.6.
