Notes

The City of Council Bluffs, Iowa (City), is requesting bids for Tree Inventory Services from qualified, insured, and eligible companies, herein called Bidder/Supplier/Contractor. All necessary personnel, supervision, materials and equipment to be provided by the Bidder and prices included in the bid should reflect the same.

The work under this bid will be administered and overseen by an authorized designee of the Parks Department.

The bid will be awarded based on the price-per-tree amount.

The awarded Bidder agrees to honor the unit price-per-tree established in this bid for a period of one (1) year from the date of contract execution. Should the City secure additional funding within this one (1) year window, the City reserves the right to issue supplemental task orders or amendments to the contract, requiring the Bidder to inventory additional trees at the original unit pricing structure.

Work may not start until November 1, 2026.

A portion of this project is being funded with federal money. The Contractor or any Subcontractors cannot be a debarred vendor on SAM.gov.

BID BOND - In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid. **Please double check your math to make sure your 5% bid bond amount is accurate. Inaccurate amounts will be cause for rejection of bid.
