IFB # 2229-03 Envelope and Heating Systems Upgrades at Pond Street Apartments
Note: only prequalified filed sub-contractors and prequalified general contractors from BHA RFQ No. 2229-02 are eligible to bid for this BHA IFB No. 2229-03.
The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites sealed bids for Envelope and Heating Systems Upgrades at Pond Street Apartments, BHA Job # 2229-03, prepared by Winslow Architects, Inc. The work is estimated at $14,385,649. Bids will be received and publicly opened at the BHA's Procurement Department, 52 Chauncy Street, 6th floor, Boston, MA, 02111. If bidders are to hand-deliver bids, please drop off bids at the Bids/Proposals Drop-Off Box in the lobby of 52 Chauncy Street.
Bids not received by the following times will be rejected:

Filed sub-bid applies to 1) Masonry Work (est. $33,000); 2) Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron (est. $49,646); 3) Roofing and Flashing (est. $748,047); 4) Metal Windows (est. $484,825); 5) Painting (est. $260,546); 6) Plumbing (est. $240,000); 8) HVAC (est. $2,489,968); and 9) Electrical Work (est. $2,284,528).

The general bid must be DCAMM certified in General Building Construction, and include a 5% bid deposit. The successful general bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All bids are subject to MGL c. 149, Sections 44A-J.
Wages are subject to minimum wage rates set by the US Department of Labor. All general bidders must follow the BHA's Minority and Women Participation Provision and Resident Employment Provision. Email queries regarding BHA bids may be directed to bids@bostonhousing.org.
