Description: The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit bids through competitive sealed bidding for the purpose of receiving proposals from qualified contractors to provide Concrete Services for the Solid Waste Tipping Floor Repairs. It is anticipated that one contractor will be selected using the competitive negotiation procedure, as outlined in the Virginia Procurement Act. The work will generally include, but shall not be limited to, labor, equipment, fuel, tools, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary to provide the timely, safe, and effective execution of the work detailed in this solicitation. Bids are to be inclusive of all costs associated with the work detailed in the scope of work below. The County of Greene seeks sealed bids for repairing the tipping shed’s concrete floor at its Solid Waste Facility at 386 Mays Road, Stanardsville VA 22973. Specific work for the base bid includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Concrete repair between Bays 1 and 2 Fixing support columns of the building, including mounting them to the correct position Reworking and repairing of drains as needed (such as a French drain so that the loader will not hit and trash will not clog up) Overlay concrete over entire tipping shed floor with 7000 psi mix 5 days, starting on a Wednesday to Sunday re-opening Monday morning The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, fuel, tools, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary to provide the timely, safe, and effective execution of the work detailed in this solicitation.
