Owensboro Municipal Utilities will receive sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. (CST) on October 1, 2025 (prevailing time) at which time bids will be opened for the:

HILLCREST WATER TANK DEMOLITION

Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU), a municipal power distributor, is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to demo/remove its two (2) million gallon (MG) Hillcrest water storage tank constructed in 1983 located at the Hillcrest Golf Course, 4346 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303. The Hillcrest Tank was constructed in 1983 and is a 2 MG gallon welded steel standpipe with the following dimensions.
i. Height of Overflow: 92’ 6”
ii. Diameter: 60’
iii. Volume: 2 MG (million gallon)

Contractor shall provide a lump sum price to have the entire water tank demolished and safely removed and disposed of. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal, transportation and disposal of all structures removed as part of the project. Contractor shall have responsibility and take possession of all removed materials and indicate a credit for such items (Credit for Scrap) against the lump sum price for the cost of Demolition, as indicated on the Pricing Proposal Sheet.

Contractor shall also be financially responsible for repairing any damage(s) caused, but not limited, to any structures, golf course property, utilities, etc., and shall be responsible for restoring the site to equivalent or better condition than existed prior to the work.

OMU is soliciting proposals for the performance and development of a comprehensive and robust Cost of Service and Rate Design Study for OMU’s Electric Utility (herein referred to as the “Study”) by an experienced and qualified firm (Consultant). The general scope of work includes a study to review existing rate and fee structure, and develop rates and charges that reflect the current cost of providing electric service. Refer to Section 3 below for detailed scope of work.
