Description: The Work to be performed shall include: Installation of Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control, and Tree Protection; remediation and disposal of all hazardous materials identified in the Hazardous Materials Report; demolish existing wooden fence; demolition and disposal of existing building, footings, building canopies, and appurtenances attached to, within, or below the existing building, and other work necessary to complete the project. A pre-bid conference will be held at Redmond Old Fire House Teen Center located at 16510 NE 79th St., Redmond WA 98052 at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. All potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Any changes to the Bid Documents made as a result of this pre-bid conference will be issued as Addenda and made available to all Bidders. CALL FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Redmond, Washington, no

later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, for the construction of Old Fire House

Teen Center Demolition, Project No. 2569. The Subcontractor List must be submitted with the

bid package within the deadline listed above. The bids will immediately thereafter be opened

and publicly read. Bid Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

All bids shall be submitted following the instructions outlined in Section 1-02.9. The bid opening

will be held via Microsoft Teams Live Event about 11:30 a.m. to allow time to download the bids.

Prior to the bid opening, the link to the webcast will be provided on BXWA and the City’s

website at redmond.gov/bids (in the bid item for this project).

The Work to be performed shall include: Installation of Temporary Erosion and Sediment

Control, and Tree Protection; remediation and disposal of all hazardous materials identified in

the Hazardous Materials Report; demolish existing wooden fence; demolition and disposal of

existing building, footings, building canopies, and appurtenances attached to, within, or below

the existing building, and other work necessary to complete the project. All physical work shall

be completed in the time specified in Section 1-08.5.

A pre-bid conference will be held at Redmond Old Fire House Teen Center located at 16510 NE

79th St., Redmond WA 98052 at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. All potential bidders

are strongly encouraged to attend. Any changes to the Bid Documents made as a result of this

pre-bid conference will be issued as Addenda and made available to all Bidders.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’s

check or surety bid bond made payable to the City of Redmond, for a sum not less than five

percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and

alternates.

The City of Redmond, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies

all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this

advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 Code of Federal

Regulations Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation

and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender in

consideration for an award.

Small, minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate in the bidding as

prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or

irregularities in the bid or in the bidding process, and make the award as deemed to be in the

best interest of the City.
