2026 Electrical Services
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Lakewood at the office of the City Clerk at 6000 Main Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499-5027, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Proposals received after 2:00 p.m. on said date will not be considered.
The City of Lakewood, Washington is seeking qualified firms to submit bids to provide electrical improvements or repairs within the public right-of-way at various locations within the City of Lakewood. Work includes but is not limited to installation or removal and replacement of damaged streetlights, lineman repair of streetlights, traffic signal electrical repairs, school zone light installation and repair, and all other necessary work to complete task order projects as specified and shown in the Contract Provisions.
Plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list for this project are available on-line through Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. at http://www.bxwa.com . Click on: “Posted Projects”; “Public Works”, “City of Lakewood, WA.” Bidders are encouraged to “Register as a Bidder”, in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidders List”. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303should you require further assistance. Informational copies of any available maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection in the office of the City Engineer (253) 983-7725.
Bidders shall be qualified for the type of work proposed. A Bidder’s Minimum Qualifications form is included in the Contract Provisions. Each proposal shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Provisions. All bids shall be submitted on the forms provided in these Bid Documents and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Bid Documents.
Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the proposal due date and time, and project name as it appears in this advertisement and the name and address of the bidder. Proposals shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Lakewood, 6000 Main Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499-5027. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above.
The City of Lakewood, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The City of Lakewood reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served.
