Improvements include:1. Sawcut the track asphalt 12 inches outside of the existing ACO Trench Drain for the entirelimit of the North ‘D’ area.2. Remove the existing trench drains and furnish and install a new ACO trench drain system.a.Protect existing drain features from damage. The Contractor will be responsible for allrepairs resulting from damage caused during the removal of surface pavement andstructures.3. Reconnect the new system to the existing outfall pipes to ensure proper drainage.4. Mill and remove the top course 12 inches beyond the repair area and repave for trackreconstruction.5. Resurface the newly paved area with resilient track surfacing to match the existing 400-meter track and restripe as necessary.6. Peel and pave the area within the North ‘D’ zone to seamlessly blend with the existing trackand field.a.Protect net post footings, shot put toe boards, shot put concrete pad, and concretecurbing for reuse. The Contractor will be responsible for all repairs resulting fromdamage during the removal of surface pavement and structures.7. Renovate the shot put landing area by removing vegetation, excavating, preparing the base,and installing a crushed stone surface.8. Apply at least two coats of Flexible Acrylic Resurfacer, in accordance with themanufacturer’s recommendations and properly mixed with silica sand and water, over theexposed D-Zone asphalt.9. Apply two coats of Flexible Color Coating in a color that matches West High School Blue.10. Locate and clean each of the eight (8) catch basins and sumps in the trench drain system.11. Clean and jet all drain lines that lead from the 400 m track and from the synthetic turf field.The Contractor will be responsible for overall Project and will be expected to work closely aspart of the team with the Department of Public Works, Parks Project Manager and SchoolAthletics Representatives.Page 1 of 54FY26-650-24The City of Manchester is an equal opportunity/affirmative action agency. Those Contractors who have not submitted their AnnualPrequalification forms and are interested in bidding shall be required to submit their projectspecific prequalification form at least five (5) working days prior to the bid opening.Prequalification forms may be obtained at the Office of the Department of Public Works (475Valley Street) for $5.00 or downloaded from the following:https://www.manchesternh.gov/Departments/purchasing/Pre-Qualification ApplicationBonds: Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND or certified check in the amount of fivepercent (5%) of the total amount of the BID as security for the execution of the contract. Andpayable to Department of Public Works, City of Manchester, N.H. A Performance and PaymentBond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, will be required of the successfulbidder. When the AGREEMENT is executed, the bonds of the remaining unsuccessful BIDDERSwill be returned. The BID BOND of the successful BIDDER will be retained until the PAYMENTBOND and PERFORMANCE BOND have been executed and approved, after which it will bereturned.Prebid Meeting: A prebid meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, 10 am at theWest High School Track weather permitting.Questions: Potential Respondents should request additional information or clarifications fromthe Park Projects Manager in writing—no verbal inquiries.Page 1 of 54FY26-650-24
