TCB26005927 | 2026 Statewide Railroad Crossing Improvements

This project consists of signage and striping improvements to various at-grade crossings Statewide to bring locations to conformance with the minimum requirements established within the 2023 MUTCD, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and RIDOT Standards. The crossings being addressed are owned by Genesee and Wyoming/ Providence and Worcester (G&W/P&W RR), Seaview Railroad Company (SVTX), and Newport and Narraganset Bay Railroad Company (NNBR). The signing and striping improvements encompassed in this Contract include, but are not limited to, the installation of crossbuck assemblies, yield signs, track number plaques, emergency notification signs, reflective strips on signposts, and yield line striping at fifty-seven (57) locations to make the crossings compliant with current MUTCD standards. Crossings with existing non-compliant signs and/or signposts will have those items removed.
