Description:

The City of Citrus Heights is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide design services for an upcoming trail expansion for the Arcade Cripple Creek Trail. This project is funded through a state Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant.

The Mariposa Extension Project is the next phase in the City’s vision for a citywide trail network and will extend the existing 3.4 mile Arcade-Cripple Creek Trail by another 0.5 miles west along Arcade Creek between Sayanora Drive and Mariposa Avenue.  Existing site conditions include native vegetation and riparian habitat that is currently inaccessible to the public due to overgrown vegetation, lack of facilities, multiple creek crossings, and lack of an accessible entrance.
