Project Description: Notice of Advertisement of Bids
Project Name: Media Borough 2026 Road Program.
Public notice is given that sealed proposals will be received online via the PennBid Program by the Borough of Media by July 21, 2026 until 10:00 AM prevailing time, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the Media Borough 2026 Road Program.
The scope of work includes milling, overlay of selected streets & the installation of ADA ramps in conformance with Federal Standards, traffic control and base repair as needed. The following is included:
-3,480 SY Milling
-3,480 SY Superpave Mixture Wearing Course
-30 Tons Superpave Mixture Leveling Course
-120 Tons Superpave Mixture Base Repair
-Installation of 7 ADA ramps
-Incidental Work
There is no physical public bid opening for this project, bids will be revealed via the PennBid website. All Bidding Documents are available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay "PennBid" a fee of 0.003333% or $100-$5,000 of the contract award value.
All interested parties must submit questions via the web based system, by the posted deadline for questions. Bidders are not permitted to contact the Borough Engineer or staff directly.
Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price in compliance with the contract documents. Bid bonds will be returned to the non-awarded bidders upon the execution of the contract.
Prevailing Wage requirements are applicable to this project. Public Works Employment Verification Act requirements are also in effect.
