Description: The City of Independence, Kansas, on behalf of the Independence Recreation Commission, is requesting bids for chemicals to be used at the Ash Youth Center and Riverside Beach Aquatic Center in Independence, Kansas for the 2026 calendar year. Each supplier may bid on one or more chemicals as they so desire, and bids will be awarded on each chemical separately. Bids will be received in the office of the City Clerk, 120 N. 6th Street, Independence, Ks. 67301, on or before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4th. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside “2026 Pool Chemical Bids”. If bid is mailed, original envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope addressed to the City Clerk, also plainly marked on the outside as stated above. E-mail or fax bids will not be accepted. The apparent low bid will then be presented to the Independence Recreation Commission for formal action.
