Description: PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) Gaston County is seeking qualified contractors to assist with the cleanup and abatement of public nuisance cases throughout the County. The purpose of this RFP is to establish a pool of responsive, capable contractors who can provide timely, efficient, and high-quality abatement services as needed. Contractors with experience in property cleanup, debris removal, vegetation control, structure stabilization or demolition, and related services are encouraged to submit a bid. The County is committed to maintaining safe, clean, and compliant communities and values partnerships with contractors who share this commitment to quality and responsiveness. Note: This solicitation does not result in a single contract award. Rather, it establishes a pool of pre-qualified contractors who are eligible to receive and respond to project-specific solicitations. The County intends to award contracts to multiple qualified candidates. Selected contractors will be placed on an approved vendor list and invited to participate in future project-specific solicitations. This approach is designed to ensure flexibility, encourage competitive pricing, and support the County’s ability to promptly and effectively address nuisance conditions. Contracts for pre-selected contractors will automatically renew each fiscal year. The County reserves the right to remove any contractor from the pre-qualified list for failure to perform, failure to respond, safety violations, or non-compliance with County standards. No late proposals will be accepted.  It is the Contractor’s sole responsibility to ensure that proposals have been received by the Planning and Zoning office before the submission deadline.
