Town of Merrimack,New Hampshire6 Baboosic Lake Rd · Merrimack, NH 03054 · www.merrimacknh.govJanuary 30, 2026REQUEST FOR PROPOSALHVAC – POLICE STATIONProposal will be received by the Town of Merrimack until 2:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026to replace HVAC system for the Town of Merrimack Police Department according to the enclosedspecifications and following conditions.Time and effort spent for bid preparation is the responsibility of the bidder. The act of submittinga bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder has inspected the sites and is familiarwith the conditions. A mandatory walk through is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026at 10:00 am at the Merrimack Police Department, 31 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH.Proposed systems must be designed: in accordance with industry standards, including those by theAmerican Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHREA); tomaintain temperatures at the sites within ranges specified by such standards; and to meet allapplicable codes.The proposals shall include a detailed outline of the scope of work similar to but not limited to theone as below, a total cost included on the enclosed Bid Form, warranty information, specificationson the proposed heating equipment, and a listing of significant materials to be provided andsignificant tasks to be performed. Three copies of the proposal must be submitted.The proposal shall include, at a minimum, the following elements in the scope of work:• Disconnect and remove five (5) York 2 ton roof top units, one (1) York 4 ton roof top andfour (4) split systems• Furnish and install five (5) roof top units. Units will include five (5) 2 ton units and one (1)4 ton cooling unit equivalent to the existing units.• Furnish and install two (2) 80 % efficient gas furnaces with remote air cooled condensingunits located on the roof of the police station.• Furnish and install two (2) high efficient gas furnaces with condensing units located on theground level.• Connect new roof top units to the existing duct system below the ceiling.• Reconnect gas piping• Reconnect refrigerant piping and flue piping for the new furnaces• Certified air balancing• Reconnect low voltage control wiring and furnish new thermostats. The bid price shall be quoted F.O.B. Town ofMerrimack, Police Department, 31 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH and shall include all laborand materials that are required for a complete installation, including removal of related debris.The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amountof one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.The contractor will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the followinginsurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State of New Hampshire;broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to include bodily injury,property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non-ownership coverage in an amount noless than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence. The Town of Merrimack shall benamed as an additional insured on all policies.The contractor must also agree in writing to indemnify the Town of Merrimack from any and allliability, loss or damage, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, death, or propertydamage, which the Town becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of claims, demands, costs,or judgment against the Town arising out of the contractor’s actions or omissions relating to thisproject.The Town’s evaluation of the bidder’s experience and reputation will include discussions withcurrent users. Therefore, bidders shall identify on the Bid Form three customers for whomcomparable repairs have been completed within the last five years.The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and toaccept the bid which best serves the interest of the Town.Three copies of the proposal must be sealed and marked “Bid on HVAC-Police Station” and bedelivered to the Town of Merrimack Finance Department, 6 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH03054 by the time specified above when they will be read aloud at 6 Baboosic Lake Road EastWing of Town Hall - Lower Level Conference Room.It is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm the bid is received by the Finance Department by thedate and time specified.The Town of Merrimack’s Purchasing Policy is available on the Town’s website:https://www.merrimacknh.gov/finance-department/pages/bid-opportunities; a copy may contactthe Purchasing Agent.
