INVITATION TO BIDDERSWILSON AVENUE IMPROVEMENTSCITY OF CHESTERFIELD, MISSOURISealed Bids for the Wilson Avenue Improvements will be received by the City ofChesterfield Department of Public Works, 690 Chesterfield Pkwy W, Chesterfield,Missouri, 63017-0760 until 10:00 a.m. (prevailing central time) on December 16, 2025and will thereafter be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bidmeeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at ChesterfieldCity Hall located at 690 Chesterfield Pkwy W, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017-0760.The project consists of the reconstruction of Wilson Avenue, from Wildhorse Creek Roadto just south of Walnut Hill Farm Drive, a distance of approximately 2,829 feet. The scopeof the project includes new asphalt pavement, shared use path, new box culvert, retainingwall, new curb ramps, truncated domes, storm sewer and inlets, and striping. Theawarded Contractor shall have 360 days from the date of Notice to Proceed to completethe project.Plans and contract documents are available for download from the City’s website(https://www.chesterfield.mo.us/726/Request-for-BidsProposals).Not less than the prevailing hourly rates of wages as found by the Department of Laborand Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, or determined by court on appeal, shallbe paid to all workers performing work under this Contract.Bidders are informed that pursuant to Section 285.530, RSMo, as a condition of the award of anycontract in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), the successful bidder shall, by swornaffidavit and provision of documentation, affirm its enrollment and participation in a federal workauthorization program with respect to the employees working in connection to the contractedservices. Successful bidders shall also sign an affidavit affirming that they do not knowinglyemploy any person who is an unauthorized alien in connection to the contracted services.Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on a public works project shallprovide a ten (10) hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by theDepartment of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees withinsixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check, or a Bid Bond executedby the Bidder and an approved surety company and payable to the City, in an amount not lessthan five percent (5%) of the sum total of the base bid.The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
