The first two locations involve metal support structures to be recoated. There are 3 concrete tanks andan adjacent retaining wall that are in need of concrete coating. The construction of these structures was originallycompleted around 1974, and they have likely not been recoated since their original installation.Adjacent to the loading dock are two circular concrete tanks and one rectangular tank that extend several feetabove grade. The exterior concrete walls of these tanks are currently coated with a cementitious coating that ispeeling. Three alternate bid items are included for removal of the deteriorated cementitious coating andapplication of a new coating as specified in the Scope of Work/Specifications section in Division 2 of this bidpackage. A fourth bid alternate is for cleaning, repairing concrete and sealing the concrete deck of the loadingdock.Completion time, from the notice-to-proceed, for the project in calendar days, will be as follows:130 days for contract substantial completion160 days for final contract completion.Liquidated damages of $250 for each working day will be assessed for delays beyond the established dates forsubstantial completion and final completion.The City of Nashua, through the Mayor, who is the awarding authority, reserves the right to reject any and all bidsor parts of bids; to waive any defects, information, and minor irregularities; to accept exceptions to thesespecifications; to award contracts or to cancel this request if in the City’s best interest.INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS:The City is now accepting submittals electronically via Bonfire.
