Event Description

This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is issued to procure NARK reagents and forensic supplies for the

Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC). TDOC intends to establish a contract with a term of

three (3) years, with two (2) optional one-year renewal periods.

All questions and comments are due in accordance with Terms & Conditions 1.3.

Specifications and terms & conditions are attached.

Authorization Letter from the manufacturer of the

proprietary NARK II reagents specified in this ITB.

The authorization must verify that the Respondent is an

authorized distributor, reseller, or dealer for the

exact NARK II products identified in the mandatory

specifications (Lines 1¿4):

¿ NARK 20033 ¿ Fentanyl Reagent

¿ NARK 20015 ¿ Methamphetamine/MDMA Reagent

¿ NARK 20010 ¿ Special Opiates Reagent

¿ NARK II 20023 ¿ Synthetic Cannabinoids Reagent

The authorization letter must meet the following

minimum requirements:

¿ Issued on Sirchie letterhead and signed by an

authorized Sirchie representative.

¿ Identify the Respondent by legal business name

matching the Respondent¿s Edison registration.

¿ Explicitly confirm the Respondent is authorized to

supply the specific NARK II catalog numbers listed

above.

¿ Confirm the Respondent is authorized to sell to U.S.

governmental and correctional agencies.

¿ Confirm product authenticity, stating that the

Respondent is authorized to supply genuine, non-expired

NARK II reagents that meet the proprietary

specifications in the ITB.

The letter must be valid for the entire contract term,

or if not time¿bounded, must be issued within the last

12 months.
