SummaryThe City of Santa Cruz Parks & Recreation Department is requesting proposals for the implementation of a median maintenance program. The program aims to maintain approximately 13 miles of landscaped and hardscaped street medians, including roundabouts within the City of Santa Cruz city limits. Maintenance includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Weed Control
- Litter & Debris Removal
- Mulch
- Pruning/Trimming
- Irrigation Observation & Minor Adjustments
- Hardscape Cleaning
- Seasonal Planting & Replacements
- Traffic Control
- Record-Keeping
- IPM Reporting
Work shall comply with the following standards:
- Best practices of landscape maintenance: California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) standards and industry norms
- University of California Statewide Integrated Pest Management (UC IPM) Guidelines
- California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) requirements
- Cal/OSHA safety regulations
- Provide traffic control per CA MUTCD
The City of Santa Cruz requests proposals from qualified firms for median maintenance services. A successful proposer will demonstrate evidence of meeting the Performance Standards and Qualifications listed in the attached specification Document.
