REQUEST FOR BIDSProject Description – The Quinault Indian Nation is requesting bids for cooks to providedinner and desert for up to 50 guests at the Prairie Prioritization Dinner on February 11, 2026, atthe Queets Gym.Scope of work• Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m.• Prep, cook and serve dinner for 50 people. Menu is up to you, please state in detail whatyou will be preparing, and bottled water will need to be purchased to go with meal.• Shop for supplies and food, a PO to Swanson’s will be given with a budget detail(supplies should include paper plates, utensils, and napkins). The budget is $20/personfor the meal. A check for $1000 can be provided in advance for the purchase of food andbeverages from the vendor of your choice, or a PO to Swanson’s can be provided.• Set up of dining area, which includes setting tables and chairs up.• Cleaning of kitchen after event and dining area (putting tables and chairs away,sweeping, mopping)• Be at the community gym for the pre-rental and post rental walk throughQualifications• Food handlers permit for all that will be prepping and cooking food• Has cooked for large gatherings at least twice before this event (please describe)• Has a business license with QIN• Native Indian PreferenceInclude in BID:• Cost for total scope of work. This should include supplies, food, and any other costsassociated with the scope of work.• A brief summary of your experience cooking for large numbers of individuals.• A summary of what you will be preparing.• If bidders are Quinault (with enrollment number), Supporting Quinault, Other Indian(enrollment), or Other.Indian Contractor Preference:Preference will be given to Indian Contractors. Please specify in the proposal If bidders areQuinault (with enrollment number), Supporting Quinault, Other Indian, or Non-Tribal.Respondents must not have been suspended or debarred by the federal government. The Nation’sIndian Preference Policy applies (attached). The determination of who is an Indian Contractor ismade by the Tribal Employment Rights Office according to Quinault Tribal Code, Title 97.Indian Contractors may be required to provide certification from the Tribal Employment RightsOffice in order to be considered eligible for Indian Preference.This RFB does not commit QIN to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of aresponse to this invitation, or to procure or contract for services or supplies. Respondents will notoffer any gratuities, favors or anything of monetary value to any employee, officer, or agent ofthe Nation for the purpose of influencing favorable disposition toward either their proposal orany other proposal submitted as a result of this RFB. All proposals submitted hereunder becomethe exclusive property of the Nation.
