The City of Cambridge invites qualified [sponsors/owners] of multi-family affordable housing (“Proposers”) to respond to this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Cambridge PV Equipment Reimbursement Program for 100% Affordable Housing.
BackgroundThe City of Cambridge (the “City”) has received funds through the United States Department of Treasury under Public Law No:117-2 (3/11/2021), Federal Award Identification Number SLFRP 1982, CFDA# 21.027, American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARPA”), providing additional relief to address the continued impact of COVID-19 on public health, assistance to vulnerable populations, education and housing stabilization, economic recovery, and public infrastructure.
The City’s Housing Department has created the Cambridge PV Equipment Reimbursement Program for 100% Affordable Housing (the “Program”) which will support energy efficient upgrades of fully affordable Cambridge-based multi-family rental housing developments by providing funding to reimburse eligible sponsors/owners for the cost of purchasing approved photovoltaic equipment as described in more detail herein. The City anticipates up to $1,000,000 of ARPA funding toward the Program. Funding availability for this program will end on or before December 31, 2026.
