NOTICE INVITING BIDS

DESICCANT AIR DRYER

THE CITY OF REDDING, CALIFORNIA

(Bid Schedule #5668)

In accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Redding, sealed bids

will be received by the City Clerk’s 3rd floor office located at City Hall, 777 Cypress Avenue,

Redding, California 96001 prior to 3:00 p.m. PT, Thursday, January 29, 2026, for supplying One

(1) ZEKS Eclipse 500ZBB-UL Heated Blower Regeneration Desiccant Air Dryer System w/ Filters

to the City of Redding, per the bid specifications and general conditions.

BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THIS TIME AND DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR

CONSIDERED.

The said bids will be opened at 3:00 p.m. PT, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the

designated City Hall Conference Room as posted in the main lobby of City Hall, 777 Cypress

Avenue, Redding, California.

All bids must be submitted on standard bid forms provided by the City of Redding. The

bidder shall provide the original (unbound) and one (1) copy of the bid proposal. Fax or

electronic submission of bid proposals will not be allowed. The City will award any resulting

contract in a manner consistent with the City purchasing ordinance.

The cut-off date and time for receiving questions regarding this bid is 5:00 p.m. PT,

on Friday, January 16, 2026. All inquiries must be made in writing and may be submitted to

the email address shown below.

NOTE

If a potential bidder/proposer received this solicitation document through

some means other than surface mail from the City of Redding (such as from the City

of Redding Internet web site, or from another prospective bidder/proposer), it is the

responsibility of the potential bidder/proposer to advise the assigned City of Redding

Purchasing contact of its intention to submit a bid/proposal so that any addenda or

other correspondence related to this solicitation will be sent to the potential

bidder/proposer. When contacting the Purchasing Division, the bidder/proposer shall

provide the solicitation number located on the cover page of this document.

The prices quoted herein are firm, and are not subject to change. The City reserves the right to

reject any or all Bids and to waive minor irregularities.

It is further agreed the equipment to be furnished under this proposal will be delivered, with

all freight charges borne by supplier, f.o.b., Redding, California, at the Redding Electric

Utility’s Power Plant at 17120 Clear Creek Rd, Redding, CA 96001 within ______________

calendar days after award of bid.

The award of the contract/bid, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose

proposal complies with all the requirements and specifications prescribed.

failure to acknowledge any addenda issued may cause the bid to be considered non-responsive.

It is understood that this bid shall remain open and shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty

(60) days from the date prescribed for the opening of the bid.

The use of a manufacturer name, brand, make, or catalog designation is provided solely to describe

the required character, quality, and/or performance of the item and does not restrict bidders to that

specific product, unless expressly stated otherwise in the solicitation. While the City’s preference

is to procure the exact make/model identified in the bid specifications, this preference does not

prohibit bidders from proposing “equal” products for the City’s evaluation. Bidders proposing an

“equal” item must clearly identify the proposed manufacturer, brand, make, and catalog/model

number, and must submit complete technical specifications and supporting documentation

demonstrating compliance with all requirements. Determinations of “equivalence” will be made

solely at the City’s discretion.

This bid submittal may be considered non-responsive if the following information is not provided:
