Description:

Work tasks on this project is the construction of a new Skatepark at a vacant area in the northwest corner of the City of Shasta Lake Civic Center campus at 4477 Main Street in Shasta Lake.  Work includes grading, drainage, landscape and a new Skatepark complete in place per the plans, specifications, City of Shasta Lake Construction Standards and these Contract Documents.  All other items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Plans or the Contract Documents shall be furnished, fabricated, constructed, or installed.  The Engineer’s Estimate for the base bid work is $1,400,000.00.


The project includes three additive alternate bid items.  The City will select one of additive alternate bid items AA1 or AA2 for the contract as the construction budget allows. Additive alternate bid item AA3 may be selected for the contract as the construction budget allows.

This site is the only approved location for prospective bidders to obtain official City Contract Documents. NO HARD COPY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.

All Contractors and Subcontractors shall possess appropriate Contractor’s Licenses for their trade at the time the contract is awarded.
Special Requirements:
IMPORTANT NOTE TO BIDDER:
Per Section 00 73 01 “Special Contract Conditions” Section 1.07 and General Contract Provisions, Article 2, “Bid Requirements and Conditions”, Section 2.05 “Competency of Bidders” of the Contract Documents, to be considered a qualified and responsible Bidder, the Bidder shall provide documentation, including project, skatepark size, construction contract cost and agency reference, establishing the “Bidder AND/OR Designated Superintendent and Crew” have satisfied the experience requirements listed in 00 73 01 “Special Contract Conditions” Section 1.07. At a minimum, the Bidder shall provide resumes of the Lead Superintendent and two crewmen that have met all requirements should the Bidder “General Contractor” not meet the skatepark qualification requirements. At a minimum qualified Lead Superintendent and two crewmen must be present on-site throughout the entire project construction. Failure to document satisfactory experience may result in the Engineer finding the bid non-responsive
Miscellaneous:
A prebid conference is scheduled between staff and interested bidders at City of Shasta Lake City Hall, 4477 Main Street, Shasta Lake, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 9 a.m., at which time the project will be reviewed. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
