City of Davis Request for Qualifications: Annual Prequalification Invitation for Construction Projects

The City of Davis requests prequalification submissions on or before 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 from qualified contractors interested in providing construction services such as (1) Grading and/or Paving, (2) Electrical (Site and/or Facility), (3) Underground Utilities, (4) Mechanical – Plumbing and/or HVAC, (5) Concrete Sidewalk, (6) Lift Stations, (7) Water, (8) WWTP, (9) Sewer, (10) Roofs, (11) Remodels or other projects for the upcoming 2025 construction season.

The Contractors must be appropriately licensed and registered in the State of California for engineering and/or construction services as needed.

The Contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) as required by law. Selected Contractors will be required to comply with the Labor Code prevailing wage and shall be required to work cooperatively City staff, any technical consultants retained by the City for the project, and the community, to facilitate timely and professional completion of the project.

Completed Prequalification Questionnaires must be submitted electronically (in PDF file format) no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024. Prequalification Questionnaire submission documents will not be accepted after the due date and time. No supplemental data or additional project information will be accepted after due date and time unless specifically requested by the City of Davis. No hard copies will be accepted.

Contractors must agree to comply with all City of Davis RFP and Contract Conditions for the project.

The City of Davis reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this notice.

Each Contractor may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful firms and their subconsultants will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wages at the location of the work.

Prequalification Schedule

The City anticipates the general schedule/milestones below: (These dates are estimates and may change.)

• Release RFQ for prequalification November 8, 2024
• Request for Information Due November 22, 2024 5:00PM
• Last day for City to issue addenda to RFQ December 2, 2024
• Prequalification Submissions Due December 13, 2024 4:00 PM
• Notice to Prequalified Respondents January 2, 2025

Questions and Requests for Information on this RFQ are required to be submitted via email to Sandi Butterfield by November 25, 2024 at 5:00pm. Questions submitted after November 25th or via phone will not be accepted.

Please note, the City will not accept incomplete questionnaire proposals or proposals time stamped after the submittal due date and time.

**Oral, telegraphic, facsimile, or telephone of prequalification submissions will not be accepted. Prequalification submissions received after this date and time will not be accepted.

To prequalify, Contractors will complete and submit The City’s Prequalification Questionnaire for Annual Construction Projects.

No late questionnaire proposals will be accepted for any reason. No exceptions will be allowed.
