Project Description: The work to be performed under this contract includes but is not limited to all work required to construct the Centerville Playground and Parking project including site preparation, installation of new parking lot, installation of site lighting as shown on the drawings, installation of playground equipment provided by the Owner, installation of playground surfacing, benches, stormwater systems, raised walkways, sidewalks, curbs, unit pavers, shade structure. The Town shall furnish Playground Equipment manufactured by O’Brien & Sons. Contractor must hold proper certification for playground installation.
All work required to construct the Centerville Playground and Parking project including all work required for site preparation and removals including removal and disposal of existing pavements, structures, footings, tree removal, and other miscellaneous items; clearing and grubbing; furnishing and installing and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation controls; furnishing and installing tree protection; rough and fine grading of all areas identified within the limit of work including furnishing and placement of loam and seed and sod; preparation of the base and furnishing and installing bituminous concrete pavement and concrete pavement, sidewalks, and stairs; furnishing and installing granite curbs and bituminous curbs; furnishing and installing drainage structures, drainage pipe, and drywell; installing Owner supplied playground equipment; installing; furnishing and installing water service lines, backflow preventer, cabinet and appurtenances; furnishing and installing pole and pole mounted sun shade; furnishing and installing rubberized safety surfacing and playground specific artificial turf; furnishing and installing raised wood walkways, stair, and foundations; furnishing and installing potable water piping and bottle filling station; furnish and installing site lighting and electrical connections; furnishing and installing vegetation; and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
Installation of a new parking lot and driveway connection, including grading, installation and compaction of fill, asphalt paving, granite curbs, asphalt berm curb, sidewalks, signage, concrete sidewalks, stormwater drainage system, topsoil, grass seeding, pavement striping, and other site appurtenances as detailed in the Contract Documents.
Installation of concrete stairs and metal railing (Alternate 1)
Site preparation for a new playground includes demolition, site clearing, tree removal, fill and compaction, site drainage, and other site appurtenances as detailed in the Contract documents. (Playground equipment and play surface installed by others.)
Installation of site lighting as shown on the drawings, Installation of new raised wood framed sloped walkway from the new parking lot to the playground, Installation of new raised wood framed walkway, stairs, and railing from the new playground to the existing front parking lot, Installation of new raised wood framed walkway and stairs to Main Street (Alternate 2), Construction of a new concrete block retaining walls and guard rails system, Installation of a new water bottle filling station with associated potable water piping and connections, Installation of benches, bench foundations, and picnic tables, Installation of perimeter drain system and drywells, Sodding specific sloped areas of the site including site preparation, Grass seeding of specific areas including site preparation, Wildflower seeding of specific areas including site preparation, Installation of bark chip ground cover in specified areas, Installation of new interlocking concrete paver system, Irrigation system design and installation, To receive consideration, Bids shall be submitted no later than the above date and time for the opening.
