The act of submittinga bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder has inspected the sites and is familiarwith the conditions. A mandatory walk through is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at9:00 am at the Merrimack Wastewater Treatment Facility, 36 Mast Rd, Merrimack, NH.Proposed systems must be designed: in accordance with industry standards, including those by theAmerican Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHREA); tomaintain temperatures at the sites within ranges specified by such standards; and to meet all workshall also adhere to the International Building Code and the National Electric Code where required.The town expects that the successful bidder will provide all equipment, manpower to provide acomplete project.Proposals shall include a detailed explanation of each of the following elements in the scope ofwork outlined, a total cost included on the enclosed Bid Form, warranty information and threereferences; specifications on the proposed air conditioning and heating equipment, and a listingof significant materials to be provided and significant tasks to be performed. Three copies of theproposal must be submitted.The proposal must include the following elements in the scope of work:1. Replacing Existing Ten Ton Roof Top UnitThe Town of Merrimack NH, Wastewater Facility is seeking proposal to replace the existing TraneRoof Top Unit (RTU) with a new Carrier or equivalent “Ten Ton RTU”. The replacement unitshall be similar to the existing Carrier Rooftop Cooling unit (see current unit specifications in aseparate attachment).Demolition RTU:• Disconnect power and control wiring (All electrical Work to be performed by licensedelectricians)• Provide crane to remove old unit from roof• Reclaim the refrigerant from the old unit (as required by law)• Transport the old unit off the premises for disposalInstallation RTU:• Furnish and install roof curb adapterTOWN OF MERRIMACK, NEW HAMPSHIRETOWN _______________________________________________FINANCE DEPARTMENT6 Baboosic Lake RoadMerrimack, NH 03054Tel: 603-424-7075• Make any necessary repairs to roof and curb as needed• Provide crane to install specified model replacement unit• Furnish and install economizer accessory for the unit• Reconnect existing power and control wiring (All electrical work to be performed bylicensed electricians)• Furnish new Wi-Fi capable programmable thermostat2. Installing New Ductless SplitsAs part of this proposal the facility also seeking to install the following Ductless Split Heating andCooling Pump Units in the following areas. (Please note these are new units). Condenser Unitsshall be installed on the exterior walls or on the ground to provide ease of access for maintenance.• Supply and install one (1) Samsung or equivalent 18K single zone ductless split and allappurtenances in the “Lunch Room”• Supply and install one (1) Samsung or equivalent 36K multi zone 3 head ductless split andall appurtenances with heads in the following areas, the Sewer Inspector’s Office, the LadiesLocker Room and the Main Bathroom.• Supply and install one (1) Samsung or equivalent 20K multi zone 2 head ductless split andall appurtenances in the following areas, the Assistant Director’s Office and the OperationsOffice.• Alternate/Optional: Evaluate supplying and installing either a separate unit for our“SCADA“ control room or adding on to the “Assistant Director’s Office Unit” or the “LunchRoom Unit”Installation:• Supply and install required insulated line sets using brown coverings• Supply and install condensate lines and that will be drained appropriately• Supply and install mounting hardware including stands or brackets• Install separate programmable Wi-Fi capable thermostats for each ductless• Core holes for the line sets and patch exterior and interior of building• Startup and testing of new units including certified air balancing for entire system• All electrical and conduit to provide power and a NEMA 4X disconnect located and aconvenience outlet next to the condenser units. The bid price shall be quoted F.O.B. Town ofMerrimack, Wastewater Treatment Facility, 36 Mast Rd, Merrimack, NH.The contractor will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the followinginsurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State of New Hampshire;broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to include bodily injury,property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non-ownership coverage in an amount noless than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence. The Town of Merrimack shall benamed as an additional insured on all policies.The contractor must also agree in writing to indemnify the Town of Merrimack from any and allliability, loss or damage, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, death, or propertydamage, which the Town becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of claims, demands, costs,or judgment against the Town arising out of the contractor’s actions or omissions relating to thisproject.The related award will be based on price, and Town’s evaluation of the quality of the proposedunits and bidder’s experience and reputation will include discussions with current users.
