Project Description: City of Albuquerque is requesting proposals from qualified Certified Public Accounting firms to audit and express an opinion on the City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, with options for two additional fiscal years. The audit must be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, Single Audit requirements under 2 CFR Part 200, and the New Mexico State Auditor’s rules. The City operates under a mayor-council form of government, serves approximately 560,000 residents, manages an annual operating budget of about $1.5 billion across 28 departments, and centrally administers financial, grant, payroll, and vendor payment functions through the Department of Finance and Administrative Services. The City of Albuquerque Foundation will be presented as a component unit in the fiscal year 2026 financial statements.
