Category: RFP's Status: Open Description: This is a roof replacement for the Davidson County Probation and Parole located at 106 Alma Owens Drive,
Lexington, NC 27292. In general, the scope of work includes replacement of the existing Single-Ply roof
system on an approximate 8,800 square feet of roof area.
Sealed Proposals subject to the conditions made a part hereof will be received until 3:00 PM, on
01-21-2026 for furnishing services described herein. In the event the County is closed due to
inclement weather, this opening will take place on the next business day.

For all prospective offerors is scheduled for 2:00 PM on 01-13-2026, at 106 Alma Owens Drive,
Lexington, NC 27292. Attendance at this conference is a prerequisite for consideration of an
offeror's proposal. Copies of the bid package will be available at the pre-bid conference.
Prospective offerors are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. In the event the County
is closed due to inclement weather, this meeting will take place on the next business day.
It is the offeror's responsibility to assure that all addenda have been reviewed.
Before submitting a proposal, read the ENTIRE solicitation including the Contract Terms and Conditions. Failure
to read any part shall not relieve the Contractor of its contractual obligations. Technical and Price proposals must
be submitted at the same time. The Price proposal shall be submitted on the Request for Proposal pricing forms
if provided. Include other information as requested or required. Proposals must be received by the Division of
Procurement PRIOR to the specified date and time on the acceptance requirements.
Questions and inquiries, both verbal and written, will be accepted from any and all offerors. The Division of
Procurement is the sole point of contact for this solicitation unless otherwise instructed herein. Unauthorized
contact with other County staff regarding the RFP may result in the disqualification of the offeror. Inquiries
pertaining to the Request for Proposal must give the RFP number, title, and acceptance date. Material questions
will be answered in writing with an Addendum. It is the responsibility of all offerors to ensure that they have
received all addendums. Addendums can be downloaded from www.co.davidson.nc.us

B. All attachments to the Request for Proposal requiring execution by the firm are to be returned with the
proposals.
C. Any technical and price proposals are to be returned and submitted in same sealed container. The face of the
container shall indicate the RFP number, time and date of public acceptance, and the title of the proposal, found
on this cover sheet.
D. Requests for extensions of this time and date will not be granted, unless deemed to be in the County’s best
interest. Offerors mailing their proposals shall allow for sufficient mail time to ensure receipt of their proposals by the Division of Procurement by the time and date fixed for acceptance of the proposals. Proposals or
unsolicited amendments to proposals received by the County after the acceptance date and time will not be considered. Proposals will be publicly accepted and logged in at the time and date specified above.
E. Each firm shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of their proposal to the County’s Division of Procurement as indicated on the cover sheet of this Request for Proposal. The original proposal shall be clearly marked.Special Requirements: Include in the Base Bid the $15,000.00 Contingency Allowance specified in Section 01 21 00 of the Project Manual. Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the gross
amount of the bid. In lieu thereof, such Bidder may file a bid bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by GS 143-129, as amended by Chapter 1104 of the North Carolina Public 00 11 19 - 12
Laws of 1951. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after award, the above deposit will be retained by the Owner on the bid bond executed on liquidated damages. Form of Bid Bond shall be AIA Document A310, current version.
Miscellaneous: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of the contract is required. Bidders shall include the cost of providing Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the Base Bid. The Bidder shall deliver the required bonds to the Owner not later
than three days following the date of execution of the Contract. The bonds shall be written on AIA Documents A312, current version. Both bonds shall be written in the amount of the Contract Sum. The bonds shall be dated on or after the date of the Contract. The Bidder shall require the attorney-in-fact who executes the required bonds on behalf of the surety, authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina, to affix thereto a certified and current copy of the power of attorneyRelated Documents: - Attachment Preview
