Document Information:	Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN). Visit the QuestCDN website (www.questcdn.com) for access. Use the seven-digit QuestCDN project number 9521578 to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. There is a non-refundable fee for downloading the contract documents in a pdf format. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. Please contact the Village of Plainfield (815) 436-3577 (Arlan Schattke) for additional information. To be considered for the contract, a Contractor must have a minimum of three (3) years previous municipal experience. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Proposal prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. Following contract award by the Plainfield Village Board, a Performance Bond will be required from the selected contractor(s) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total cost of the proposal. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a satisfactory payment bond and performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive technicalities. Unless the Proposals are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive contractor.
