Located at6th Street SW. The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost is $80,000.Type of BidBids/quotes shall be on a Unit Price basis.Contract Time InformationEarly Start Date: Approximately 4/13/26Closure Dates:Milestone 1 (Working Days - 10 Working Days allowed likely commencing on4/15/26) - 6th Street SW Traffic Control And Detour Shall Be Installed By 6:00 AMOn 4/13/26 And Remain In-Place Until Substantial Completion Of The Project IsAchievedFinal Completion: Working Days - 10 Working Days allowed likely commencing on 4/15/26Bid Opening, Time, Date and LocationBids shall be submitted to the City's IonWave website (http://citycrbids.ionwave.net) before 11:00 a.m.,local time, on February 18, 2026. Bids must be completed and submitted by this time, or the website willnot accept your submission. The bids will be accessed online, opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m., localtime, on February 18, 2026 remotely via teleconference. The teleconference will become available approximately 10 minutes prior tothe submission deadline.Contract TermsThe latest editions of the Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS), and City of CedarRapids, Iowa, General Supplemental Specifications to SUDAS, are applicable to this project, and areavailable on the City of Cedar Rapids’ website (www.cedar-rapids.org).Items included in the Project are exempt from State of Iowa and Local Option Sales and Use Taxes.Contractor is responsible for obtaining the exemption. All contractors and subcontractors shall be responsible for pre-employment drugscreening of prospective employees. All contractors and subcontractors shall have in place a drug andalcohol testing policy that conforms to the requirements of Iowa Code, and will be required to submit withtheir bid an acknowledgement attesting to this practice.Applicable Laws and RegulationsBy virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coalproduced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under IowaCode Chapter 73.In accordance with Iowa statutes, a resident bidder shall be allowed a preference as against anonresident bidder from a state or foreign country if that state or foreign country gives or requires anypreference to bidders from that state or foreign country, including but not limited to any preference tobidders, the imposition of any type of labor force preference, or any other form of preferential treatment tobidders or laborers from that state or foreign country. The preference allowed shall be equal to thepreference given or required by the state or foreign country in which the nonresident bidder is a resident.In the instance of a resident labor force preference, a nonresident bidder shall apply the same residentlabor force preference to a public improvement in this state as would be required in the construction of apublic improvement by the state or foreign country in which the nonresident bidder is a resident.Non-Discrimination NoticeThe City of Cedar Rapids, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252,42U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation,Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of theDepartment of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it willaffirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority businessenterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not bediscriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.OWNER’s Right to Reject BidsThe City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waiveinformalities and technicalities, and to enter into such contracts as it deems to be in the best interest ofthe City.
