These servicesand materials are more specifically described in this Request for Bids (RFB). The successful bidder, hereinafterContractor, will deliver the required services and materials and render the required goods/services F.O.B.destination point to the WC-2 Flood Control Structure in Sumter County, Florida.NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE/SITE VISITWednesday, December 17, 20259:00 a.m. Local TimeWC-2 Structure Access Gate #1182 Sumter County Rd 778Webster, Florida 33597It is highly recommended that Bidders use a four-wheel drive vehicle with sufficient groundclearance when attending the site visit, due to uneven terrain and potentially soft ground conditions.For Bidders who do not have access to such a vehicle,the District will provide limited seating in a District vehicle.Attachment 8 – Waiver and Release for District Vehicle Occupancy will need to be completedby each rider in a District vehicle. Copies will be available at the Site Visit.Bidders may also be asked to consolidate vehicles with others, as necessary.All interested parties are recommended to be represented at the Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and theNon-Mandatory Site Visit. The purpose of the conference is to allow potential bidders an opportunity to presentquestions to staff and obtain clarification of the requirements of the RFB and to view the site. Because theDistrict considers such a conference and site visit to be important to understanding the RFB requirements,representation at the pre-bid conference and the site visit is recommended to attend as a bidder. Minutes ofthe conference and site visit will not be created. Upon theDistrict’s receipt of a signed EDDA and its confirmation that the potential bidder may receiveconfidential and/or exempt documents, the potential bidder shall be provided access to the ExemptDocuments. Potential bidders shall send a completed and signed EDDA to Procurement Servicesat Email: procurement@watermatters.org. Potential bidders are encouraged to submit signed EDDAas soon as possible, considering whether it wishes to review such documents prior to the mandatorypre-bid conference and site visit.
