The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) intends to enter a onetime agreement with Qiagen LLC to purchase QIAGEN QIAseq DIRECT sequencing kits, necessary for sequencing SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater samples in the Environmental Laboratory working under guidance from CDC and NWSS Center of excellence laboratories – WSLH and CO. This has been deemed a single source as Qiagen LLC is the only supplier that can provide these kits. These kits and reagents are not available through any other party.
