Bid Title: Morro Creek Watershed Management Plan

The City of Morro Bay (“City”) is requesting a proposal from qualified firms, consultants, or individuals (“Consultant”) to submit written proposals for design of a budgeted City project for the planning phase of the Morro Creek Watershed Management Plan, including assessment of conceptual alternatives, advancement of the selected alternative to 60% engineered designs, and completion of environmental review for the selected alternative.
This RFP includes scopes of work from two distinct grant agreements awarded to the City by the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). The selected Consultant will enter into one contract with the City that includes the scope of both agreements, however the Consultant must submit invoices for each grant separately.
- Floodproof Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility Building - AP-01233: Preliminary assessment and design for floodproofing a critical City facility, which is in a FEMA-mapped flood plain adjacent to Morro Creek, in order to reduce or prevent damage to essential water supply infrastructure resulting from flooding.
- City of Morro Bay Storm Drain Assessment - AP-01231: Preliminary assessment and design for mitigation of stormwater and flooding issues on roadways and in public rights-of-way adjacent to Morro Creek. Assessment should include upgrades to existing stormwater infrastructure AND upstream flood attenuation opportunities.
No Consultant shall discriminate in employment practices on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, gender, or religion. No qualified handicapped person shall, on the basis of handicap, be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination in any matter leading to the award of a contract. The Consultant shall be responsible for preparing an effective, clear, and concise proposal.
