SummaryPurpose –
The San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) seeks experienced professional learning and coaching providers to deliver exceptional instructional, leadership, and organizational learning and practice experiences for Educators, School Leaders, and District Administrators. This partnership will offer Educators and Leaders from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 innovative methodologies and evidence-based practices to strengthen instructional practices, leadership effectiveness, and organizational outcomes that support student success.
SBCUSD envisions a partnership emphasizing continuous improvement across all levels of the organization. Successful coaching providers will collaborate closely with SBCUSD staff to tailor the focus and goals, providing relevant, engaging, and rigorous professional learning for our Educators, Administrators, and Leaders, including both instructional and leadership coaching aligned with District priorities.
BackgroundThe San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) is the ninth-largest public school District in California, with an average enrollment of about 44,000 students. Established in 1964, the San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) is the ninth-largest school district in California, serving a diverse student population across 105 square miles in the heart of San Bernardino County. The District includes 74 schools, spanning Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Adult Education, and serves communities ranging from small rural mountain and foothill areas to larger suburban neighborhoods in the valley. SBCUSD operates 49 elementary schools, 11 middle schools (including one K–8), 9 high schools, 2 special schools, 2 special education schools, and 1 adult school, as well as a continuation school, community day school, independent study schools, charter schools, and preschool programs.
