RECLAMATION OF HOLDING PONDS
Proposal Deadline: Thursday, October 31, 2024
- PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
The City of Cordele is accepting requests for proposals to reclaim various holding ponds in the city.
- SCOPE OF WORK
- Holding Pond #1
Location - 20 th Avenue and 6 th Street
Silt is to be removed from the northwest corner inlet and southeast corner inlet at a depth of 3 feet below pond outlet.
- Holding Pond #2
Location – 18 th Avenue between Joe Wright Drive and 10 th Street
Silt is to be removed from concrete flume. Contractor will remove silt outside of flume to a depth of 3 inches above the concrete and shaped so that water drains to the flume.
- Holding Pond #3
Location - 20 th Avenue and 9 th Street
Silt is to be removed from pond to original clay bottom, approximately one foot below outlet.
- Holding Pond #4
Location – Northside of 20 th Avenue between 13 th Street and 14 th Street
Silt is to be removed from concrete flume. Contractor will also remove silt outside of the flume at a depth of 3 inches above the concrete and shaped so that water drains to the flume.
- Holding Pond #5
Location – Southside of 19 th Avenue between 13 th Street and 14 th Street
Silt is to be removed from concrete flume. Contractor will also remove silt outside of the flume at a depth of 3 inches above the concrete and shaped so that water drains to the flume.
- Holding Pond #6
Location – Northside of 19 th Avenue between 13 th Street and 14 th Street
Silt is to be removed from concrete flume. Contractor will also remove silt outside of the flume at a depth of 3 inches above the concrete and shaped to allow water to drain to the flume.
- OTHER ITEMS TO BE CONSIDERED
- The city will furnish dump trucks and drivers for the purpose of hauling off silt and other debris.
- Any chain-link fence that needs to be removed to gain entry into a pond will be done by city personnel.
- PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL
- Sealed bids are due by October 31, 10:00 am. Any bids received after 10:00 am will be rejected. Bids can be mailed in or dropped off at Public Works located at 808 East 11 th Avenue.
