Bid Detail25-157 - Maintenance & Repairs to Trane Chillers & Associated Equipment

at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield is seeking Contractors to perform On-Call and Scheduled Repairs and Maintenance for Trane Centrifugal Chillers and Associated Equipment throughout the City. Work will consist of preventative maintenance and occasional repairs on an as-needed basis. A Massachusetts DCAMM Certificate is required for all bidders. This IFB is subject to M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
The City intends to award a single contract for these services to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The initial term of the Contract will be one year, but will contain two (2) one-year renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. The contract will be for $550,000.00 per year.
Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person (during normal business hours) beginning on April 2, 2025. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement on or before April 11, 2025 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all proposals if it is in the public interest to do so.
