SummaryThe City of Pasadena is seeking a qualified contractor to provide fuel system inspection service and repair on the City's sanitation trash trucks and City's fleet of service vehicles that are powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel systems.
Service to include, but not limited to CNG fuel system service and repair, periodic regulatory cylinder inspection and post-accident cylinder inspection.
BackgroundTrash trucks and service vehicles equipped with CNG fuel systems require periodic fuel cylinder inspections, post-accident evaluations, and as-needed maintenance and repairs in accordance with NGV-2 guidelines, all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) requirements.
The selected contractor will be responsible for performing these inspections, as well as all related service and repairs. All fuel system inspections must comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and be conducted by a qualified CNG-certified technician.
