Project Description: LEGAL NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSALS FOR LOUISVILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY METRO GOVERNMENT COMMUNICATIONS FRANCHISE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Sections 163 and 164 of the Kentucky Constitution that Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government (Louisville Metro) is soliciting bid proposals from parties interested in obtaining franchises to erect, install or maintain facilities within Louisville Metro Rights of Way to provide communication services pursuant to Chapter 116 of the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances. Franchise(s) awarded pursuant to this Request for Bid Proposals will be non-exclusive. Chapter 116 of ·the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances is being amended and updated and is available as part of this solicitation. The franchise will be granted under the terms of Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances Chapter 116 in effect at time bid is approved. Bid proposals for communications franchises must meet all of the requirements of Chapter 116 of the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances as may be amended, (Ordinance may be revised during period of any awarded franchise). Application is required to be filed pursuant to the original Chapter 116.71 (D) and updated Chapter 116.02 (D) of the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances and is available part of this solicitation Additionally the submission of bids for a Louisville Metro communications franchise will require compliance with all Louisville Metro procurement laws, regulations and procedures.
